Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 7, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Renoowl (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects information about you when you use our website and request to be matched with contractors (the “Service”). By using the Service, you consent to the practices described in this Policy.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide: When you submit a request, we collect the information you give us, such as your name, email address, phone number, project location (ZIP code or city), and details about your renovation or construction project.

Information collected automatically: We automatically collect limited technical data — such as your IP address, browser type, device identifiers, referring pages, and pages visited — through cookies, pixels, and similar technologies to operate, secure, and improve the Service.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to: match you with contractors; contact you about your request by phone, email, and text message; respond to inquiries; operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Service; measure and improve our marketing; detect and prevent fraud or abuse; and comply with legal obligations.

By submitting a request, you consent to being contacted by Renoowl and matched contractors regarding your project, including by phone and SMS. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time (see Section 5).

3. How We Share Your Information

With contractors: To provide the matching service, we share the details of your request with a limited number of pre-screened contractors so they can prepare a quote or consultation. Once shared, a contractor's use of your information is governed by that contractor's own privacy practices, over which we have no control.

With service providers: We share information with vendors who help us operate the Service (such as hosting, analytics, and communications providers) under obligations of confidentiality.

For legal reasons and business transfers: We may disclose information to comply with law, enforce our Terms, protect our rights and safety, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

We do NOT sell your personal information for money, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under California law.

4. Cookies & Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to remember your preferences, understand how the Service is used, and improve performance and marketing. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some cookies may affect how the Service functions.

5. Your Choices & Opt-Out

You may opt out of marketing communications at any time by using the unsubscribe link in our emails, replying STOP to text messages, or contacting us at contact@renoowl.com. Note that we may still send you non-marketing messages related to a request you submitted.

6. Your Privacy Rights (California & Other U.S. States)

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to: know and access the personal information we hold about you; request correction or deletion; and opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information (which we do not do). We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

To submit a request, contact us at contact@renoowl.com. We will verify your identity before responding and will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. You may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf.

7. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as necessary to provide the Service, fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, resolve disputes, and comply with our legal obligations. When no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it.

8. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Third-Party Links

The Service may contain links to third-party websites, including those of contractors. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies.

10. Children's Privacy

The Service is intended for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date, and where required by law we will provide additional notice.
